Police claim the man, who had allegedly been experiencing a mental health crisis, was armed with a knife.

The Wild have picked up former Pittsburgh winger Nick Johnson off of waivers. Johnson has spent most of the past four years playing for the Penguins’ minor-league affiliate.
The Minnesota Wild’s season came to an end on Saturday but four of its defensemen were reassigned to the Houston Aeros of the AHL. Marco Scandella, Nate Prosser, Chey Genoway and Kris Fredheim are eligible to play the rest of the season, and playoffs if the Aeros reach the postseason.
