Odds favor a Wild-Winnipeg first round playoff series
Devan Dubnyk made 30 saves and picked up his 200th career win and head coach Bruce Boudreau reached 499 career victories in the Wild's 3-1 win at Arizona on Saturday.
Minnesota now has a 5-point lead on Dallas and Colorado for third place in the Central Division, meaning it would take a rather big collapse over the final 10 games to fall out of the playoff race.
It also increases the odds of a Wild versus Winnipeg first-round playoff series. The only way it could realistically change is if the Wild are passed by Dallas or Colorado, which would then put Minnesota in a first-round series against Vegas or Nashville.
Winnipeg beat the Wild in three of four meetings this season.
Minnesota is 3-0 against Vegas and 2-1 against Nashville with two more games to go.
The Wild return to the ice Monday night at home against the Los Angeles Kings.
