Packers fired head coach Mike McCarthy after home loss to Arizona

McCarthy had been the Packers head coach for 13 seasons.

The Green Bay Packers have fired head coach Mike McCarthy, the team announced hours following a home loss to the Arizona Cardinals. 

Joe Philbin has been named the interim head coach.

The loss dropped the Packers to 4-7-1 on the season and essentially  out of playoff contention.  

McCarthy racked up 125 wins and a .620 win percentage in 13 seasons as Green Bay's head coach.
