Packers receiver Trevor Davis arrested at airport for really stupid reason

Don't joke with airport security.

I'm sure at least some of you have considered being glib with a ticket agent at the airport when they ask you if you've packed any dangerous weaponry.

Most of us have enough sense to realize that airport security is no laughing matter – but not Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis.

NFL.com reports he's been arrested on a misdemeanor threat charge at Los Angeles International Airport.

Apparently, it comes after he was asked security questions by the ticket agent, at which point he turned to his female companion and said: "Did you pack the explosives?"

Not smart.

The 24 year old was taken into custody by LAX police and released from jail fter posting a $15,000 bond.

"The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis," the Packers said in a statement. "We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter."

The third-year wide receiver has appeared in 27 games over the last two seasons for Green Bay, but only has eight career receptions for 13 yards.

Let his example be a lesson to us all.
