Despite being idled by the NHL lockout, roughly 3,000 Minnesota hockey fans got a chance to watch Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter in action Sunday night, the Star Tribune reports. The two hockey stars were among 30 current and former NHL players to take part in the charity game at Mariucci Arena for Defending the Blue Line, which helps kids of military families play hockey.

The newspaper also mentions paralyzed high school hockey player Jack Jablonski dropped the puck for a ceremonial faceoff.

Fox Sports North notes Parise and Suter were part of Team Army, which beat Team Air Force by a 9-7 final after a 7-7 tie led to a shootout.

Imagine how good the Wild's top line would be if Zach Parise was centering it.
