The Twins wrapped up their series against the White Sox in a big way Sunday afternoon, with a 13-3 win and a Trevor Plouffe grand slam.

If the video doesn't win you over, look how it inspired former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak:

Plouffe's grand slam came in a seven-run third inning, and was the first of his career. The Twins also scored seven runs in the third inning Thursday against the Sox.

The Sox had two errors in the inning, which allowed Danny Santana to make good on a two-run single, and Brian Dozier drove in another run on his second trip to the plate in the frame.

Twins pitcher Mike Pelfrey gave up two runs and struggled in the fourth. He hit three batters - only the second Twins pitcher to hit three batters in a single inning since Bert Blyeven hit three A's batters on Sept. 28, 1988, reports.

The Twins added four more in the bottom of the fourth and then scored their last two in the sixth. The Sox were able to get one more run in the eighth.

Left fielder Oswaldo Arcia left Sunday's game in the fourth inning, complaining of a right hip irritation. His status is day-to-day.

The Twins swept the four-game series against the White Sox. It's the second season in a row they've swept the Sox at Target Field, reports.

Minnesota is on a four-game winning streak, which was the team's longest winning streak last season, according to the Pioneer Press.

The Twins begin a four-game series with the A's Monday evening at Target Field. Phil Hughes is the starting pitcher.
