Pominville skates in practice; Wild recalls Dumba, McMillan

The Minnesota Wild could use another boost after winning Game 3 against Chicago Sunday afternoon.

The boost could be the return of Jason Pominville, who has missed five straight games after suffering what seems to be a concussion in a game April 23 against the Los Angeles Kings.

Pominville skated during the Wild's optional practice on Monday. It was the second time he's skated since suffering the injury.

Wild coach Mike Yeo says Pominville practicing is an "encouraging" sign, but the winger will remain day-to-day on the injury report.

Meanwhile, rookie defenseman Matt Dumba and forward Carson McMillan were recalled from Houston to add depth to the playoff roster.

Fellow rookie Mikael Granlund returned from Houston on Sunday. He didn't play in Game 3, but says he'll be ready if his number is called.

No matter what happens this postseason, the Wild's rookies are gaining valuable playoff experience.
