Plenty of Adrian Peterson chatter of KFAN-FM 100.3 this morning.

The NFL MVP joined play-by-play guy Paul Allen in Mankato, saying he doubts he'll play the first two pre-season games.

Nevertheless, Peterson says “the sky is the limit” for this Vikings team, especially with Christian Ponder’s confidence at an “all time high.”

On other topics, as chronicled by BMTN/KFAN reporter Joe Nelson:

Can Cordarrelle Patterson & Jarius Wright replace Percy Harvin?
"There's no one like Percy Harvin, of course, but those guys are doing a pretty good job of picking up the slack."

On his nickname for Harrison Smith:
"'Gangster White Boy.' Just the attitude and mentality that he has back there at the free safety position. He reminds me of (John) Lynch, but he's doing awesome."
