Prep Bowl: Becker, Osseo's dramatic win caps off a big day at 'The bank'

Prince Kruah ran for 189 yards and a touchdown and led Osseo to a 14-13 victory over East Ridge in the 6A championship Friday night at TCF Bank Stadium.

Kruah capped off a 16 play drive with a four yard touchdown run with :24 seconds remaining.

Malik Galliard connected on 11-of-17 passes for 143 yards with a touchdown and an interception. His favorite target was Damirio Armstrong, he finished with 10 catches for 139 yards and a touchdown.

Class 4A: Becker blasts South St. Paul

Gabe Dertinger ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries to lead the Becker Bulldogs to a 35-14 victory over South St. Paul in the Class 4A championship.

The Bulldogs took the opening drive 95 yards to get on the scoreboard first and built a 21-0 lead before the end of the first quarter in the victory.

Andrew Stanger was 12-of-18 for 218 yards and a touchdown as the Bulldogs put up 452 yards of offense.

Becker's early lead forced the Packers, a normally run-heavy offense, to throw. Dan Pietruszewski was just 5-of-19 for 80 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

The Grand Meadow Superlarks claimed a third straight 9-Man championship Friday with a 34-20 win over Underwood at TCF Bank Stadium.

Grand Meadow and Underwood were tied 14-14 at the half, but two touchdowns in the final 3:52 of the game sealed the deal for the Superlarks, who have now won 36 consecutive games – the state's longest active win streak.

Michael Stejskal led Grand Meadow by throwing for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushing for 119 yards and 1 touchdown, which came on a 71-yard dash to put the Superlarks up by two scores with 2:14 left in the game.

Class 2A: Caledonia blanks Pipestone

Owen King tossed four touchdown passes to lead Caledonia to a 40-0 victory over Pipestone Friday afternoon in the Class 2A Championship.

It's Caledonia's sixth title in the last night years.

King connected on 13-of-20 passes for 207 yards. He hit both Colton Lampert and Alex Goergen for a pair of touchdowns. Lampert was the leading receiver with six catches for 122 yards.

Sam Stemper added 172 yards on the ground and a pair of scores.

The Warrior defense held Pipestone (13-1) to 127 yards on the afternoon.
