Raptors clobber Timberwolves with balanced attack

The losing streak continues for the Timberwolves, who fell to the Toronto Raptors 113-99 on Wednesday night at Target Center.

The game wasn't really that close. The Wolves trailed by more than 20 points for most of the second half and Toronto's largest lead was 31, but Minnesota closed the deficit late.

It was a game of teams headed in different directions. Toronto is poised to make a playoff run and had seven players finish in double figures. The Wolves, who have been on a skid, used just eight players in the game.

Louis Williams led the way for Toronto with 18 points, while DeMar DeRozan added 17. Terrence Ross also chipped in 16 in the Raptors victory.

"It was men against boys out there," said Wolves coach Flip Saunders after the game. "We are just undermanned."

Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with a game-high 25 points. Wiggins added five rebounds and five assists. Zach LaVine had 22 points and seven rebounds, but also turned the ball over seven times.

The Wolves (16-59) host the Orlando Magic on Friday night at Target Center.
