Record crowd turns out as Minnesota United FC shut out Jacksonville

The National Sports Center in Blaine was the place to be Wednesday night as the Minnesota United FC cruised to a 4-0 win over Jacksonville, before a record-crowd of 9,500.

The Loons took the early lead in the 13th minute on a goal from Juliano Elizeu Vincentini.

It stayed that way for awhile, but Minnesota stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 50th minute when Daniel Mendes scored. Ten minutes later, Christian Ramirez made it 3-0.

The Loons put it away in the 75th minute on a goal from Ibson.

He finished with a goal and an assist on the night, as did Ramirez.

Minnesota United welcome Club Leon on Saturday night. That match will bring former United star Miguel Ibarra back to the Twin Cities.

Ibarra left United earlier this year, but he is expected to play a half with both teams on Saturday night.
