While Donovan McNabb is losing weight and hoping to get a call from an NFL team, his former coach Andy Reid is encouraging teams to make that call. In an interview with NFL Network, Reid says McNabb can still play and he would "highly recommend" him to other teams.

The Donovan McNabb era is officially over in Minnesota. Coach Leslie Frazier says the Vikings put McNabb on waivers today, calling it "best for both parties." The move allows the veteran to sign with another team if they're willing to pick up the remaining portion of his $5 million salary. Frazier called McNabb "a class guy" and said he wouldn't have done anything differently in bringing McNabb in this year.

Kluwe still waiting for McNabb to pay up

Donovan McNabb still owes Vikings' punter Chris Kluwe a $5,000 donation to Kluwe's charity, Kick For A Cure. McNabb made a deal to wear the No. 5 jersey, which Kluwe owned before the start of the season. Kluwe, who now wears No. 4, planned on asking McNabb for the donation at the end of the season, but then McNabb was released.

Remember when Chris Kluwe sold Donovan McNabb his No. 5 jersey? It happened before the season started. McNabb's part of the deal was to donate $5,000 to a charity, buy Kluwe an ice cream cone, and give Kluwe's band Tripping Icarus five mentions while speaking to the media. Kluwe says McNabb only mentioned the band twice.
