One college basketball team is going to receive a commitment from a really good basketball player next week when DeLaSalle High School forward Reid Travis makes his decision.

Travis' father, Nate, told ZagsBlog.com that Reid will announce his decision on November 8. Travis recently took an official visit to the University of Minnesota.

“Very first class,” his father said of the U of M to Darren Wolfson of KSTP. “They have a very good desire to be winners. I enjoyed, but I’m not the one being recruited.”

The Gophers, Duke, Stanford and Gonzaga are the four finalists on his list. The Star Tribune reports that Duke is considered a heavy favorite.

Hard playing insider is amongst the most physical players in the country. Attacks the glass on both ends and is a good scorer out to 15 feet. Slightly undersized for the power forward but makes up for it with his toughness and strength.

Minnesota landed three-star point guard Nate Mason on Friday. He reportedly picked Minnesota over Virginia and Kansas State.
