Report: Harvin demands Vikings trade him
Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune reports that wide receiver Percy Harvin has informed the Vikings that he wants to be traded. It's the latest twist in a saga that started with Harvin last summer.
Vikings general manager Rick Spielman has told the media, on numerous occasions, that he has no plans to trade a player of Harvin's caliber.
Harvin is under contract through next season, but he reportedly wants Calvin Johnson-like money.
Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported last week that the Vikings are expected to get into a bidding war with the Dolphins for free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace. Teams can start signing free agents at 3:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
The Vikings have enough cap room to sign Wallace to a big deal, but not enough to sign Wallace and Harvin.
