Lynx trade for ex-Gopher Janel McCarville

The Star Tribune is reporting that the Lynx have traded for ex-Gophers star Janel McCarville.

McCarville, a member of the New York Liberty, played with Minnesota from 2001-2005. Teamed with Lynx star Lindsay Whalen, McCarville and the Gophers went to the Final Four in 2004.

She sat out the 2012 WNBA season to spend time with her family, according to an ESPN report.
