It's not official just yet, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the NFL will not force quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to stay with the Vikings in 2018.

The question surrounding Bridgewater's expiring four-year contract was whether a year would toll over to 2018 because he missed so much time in 2016 and 2017 recovering from a severe knee injury.

If the report from Rapoport is true, it also means the Vikings are fresh out of quarterbacks.

The Vikings will NOT franchise tag Case Keenum

Reports Monday indicated the Vikings will not place the franchise tag on Case Keenum, and with Sam Bradford and now Bridgewater on the verge of becoming free agents, the Vikings don't have anyone at the position.

That's where the Kirk Cousins speculation comes in.

Reports suggesting the Vikings will go hard after Cousins in free agency caught fire on Monday, and with reporters arriving in Indianapolis this week for the scouting combine, even more reports are linking Minnesota to the soon-to-be former Washington QB.

Minnesota can still bring Bridgewater back via free agency, but the fact that he's going to become a free agent certainly increases the odds that his time with the Vikings is over.
