Vikings center John Sullivan didn't hold back Monday when he spoke with KFAN's Paul Allen about the dirty block Detroit's Ndamukong Suh put on him during the second quarter of Minnesota's season opening loss to the Lions on Sunday.

"It was pretty clear that I was out of the play," Sullivan told KFAN. "I don't think he was trying to hurt me, but there need be consequences when guys don't respect the careers of other players."

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's unlikely that Suh will be suspended for his hit on Sullivan.

Suh was flagged for an illegal low block after he dove for Sullivan's knees as Sullivan was chasing (but not catching) Detroit's DeAndre Levy following an interception thrown by Christian Ponder.

Sullivan told the Star Tribune that Suh apologized after the game, and that's "fine" with him.

Sullivan was lucky he didn't suffer anything worse than a contusion to his knee. He's expected to play this week at Chicago.

Suh has a history of dirty play throughout his career. Video evidence below...
