He's still just 24 but is dealing with plenty of distractions.

Twins All-Star third baseman Miguel Sano confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Tuesday that he has not been approached by the front office about a contract extension.

“If something happens, it happens, but I’m not thinking about that," Sano told Mike Berardino. "I’m thinking about playing my game.”

The 24-year-old is eligible for arbitration next season, and if he can put together a full season in 2018 that resembles his first half in 2017, then he'll be due for a big raise from the $600,000 he's set to make this season.

Report: Twins, Buxton discussing long-term extension

It's unclear if his legal situation will be a factor in future negotiations, but it could impact the numbers he puts up this season.

That's because there's a realistic chance he gets suspended once MLB officials finish investigating allegations that Sano sexually harassed a photographer in 2015.
