The Vikings have struck in NFL free agency, coming to terms on a deal that will make former New York Giants defensive tackle Linval Joseph an anchor on Minnesota's defensive line, according to a report from Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.

At 25-years-old, Joseph is already considered a very good run-stopper. In 53 games with the Giants, he racked up 175 tackles and nine sacks.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio expects the 6-foot-3, 323-pound Joseph to line up next to second-year tackle Sharrif Floyd, potentially forming a dominant combination on the interior defensive line for years to come.

Joseph was drafted by the Giants out of East Carolina in the second round No. 46 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.
