The Minnesota Vikings have given wide receiver Percy Harvin the trade he has reportedly been asking for, sources say.

FOX NFL Insider's Jay Glazer was among the first to report the news, with Harvin dealt to the Seattle Seahawks:

According to ESPN's John Clayton, the deal will likely involve a Seahawk first-round pick:

If so, the Vikings will have the 23rd and the 25th overall pick in the April draft.

A few minutes later, Glazer tweeted that the picks would include a 7th rounder this year, and mid-round pick next year:

ESPN's Adam Schefter, meanwhile, says the deal is "contingent upon a new contract for Harvin," with the contract likely to be completed in next 48 hours."

Harvin was one of the Vikings top offensive players last season until he got hurt in a loss at Seattle, WCCO reports.

He hurt his ankle, was placed on injured reserve and never returned to the team even through their run to a wildcard playoff berth.

Despite ongoing trade rumors stretching back to last summer, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said last month before the NFL Scouting Combine that the Vikings had “no intent” of trading Harvin.

As for immediate reaction from Vikings fans, the Twitterverse continues to buzz with both ultra-positive and ultra-negative comments. Here's a roundup, courtesy the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
