The Minnesota Timberwolves are full of young talent and it appears that one of those young players will be helping the USA Basketball team train for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The Associated Press' Jon Krawzcynski reports that Zach LaVine has been named to the USA Select team and will work out with the Olympic team ahead of the Rio Games.

LaVine will join C.J. McCollum, Myles Turner, Brice Johnson, Devin Booker, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Stanley Johnson on the select squad.

Best known for his athleticism and dunking acumen following back-to-back NBA Slam Dunk Championships, LaVine really worked to refine his game in 2015-16.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, LaVine worked last offseason at developing his playmaking skills and three-point shooting. The second-year Wolves guard connected on 44.3% of his threes in March and April.

New Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau will get a chance to work with LaVine since he is on the USA Basketball coaching staff.
