Reports: Former Viking Kevin Williams visits New Orleans Saints

Once a key piece of the famed "Williams Wall," former Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams is looking for another place to call home.

Williams, who was drafted by the Vikings in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft and solidified one of the Vikings' defensive tackle positions for 11 seasons, is on the move for the second straight offseason.

The veteran defensive tackle was hosted for a visit by the New Orleans Saints.

The Vikings chose not to re-sign the six-time Pro Bowler after 2013, opting instead for youth along the defensive front.

So the veteran signed with the Seahawks prior to last season and played in every game, starting eight. Williams finished the season with 30 tackles and three sacks, but again finds himself on the free agent list.

Pro Football Talk notes that durability is nothing new for Williams – he's missed just five games during his entire 12-year NFL career and two of them came from a Starcaps suspension in 2011.

For the most part he has spent his career as a defensive tackle on four-man fronts in both Seattle and Minnesota, which is different from what Rob Ryan runs in New Orleans. But Pro Football Talk notes Williams' ability to stuff the run up front could be valuable for a defense that underwhelmed last season.
