Major League Baseball's investigation into sexual assault accusations against Twins star Miguel Sano appears to be one step closer to ending.

According to the Pioneer Press, Sano spent four hours meeting with MLB security officials on Tuesday, but Sano and the Twins still aren't sure when a decision regarding the All-Star's status will be made.

It's possible that Sano is fined or suspended, despite him denying what a freelance photographer accused him of two months ago today.

Meanwhile, Sano will make his spring training debut Wednesday. He'll bat fourth and play third base for the first time since having a titanium rod surgically implanted into his left shin on Nov. 13.

The regular season opener is March 29 in Baltimore.
