A franchise record-tying performance from Corey Brewer helped lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 112-110 win over the Houston Rockets.

The Wolves were once again without Kevin Love. He hyper-extended his elbow Wednesday night in Minnesota's loss to Chicago.

According to the Star Tribune, Love may have been a late scratch. Wolves coach Rick Adelman said during his pre-game press conference that Love would be available to play.

No Love, no problem for the Wolves. Corey Brewer had a career-night tying a franchise record with 51 points.

It set a career-high by a long shot for Brewer.

It wasn't just Brewer though. Dante Cunningham had a double-double starting in place of Love. Cunningham had 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Ricky Rubio played a strong game too. He scored 16 and dished out 10 assists.

It was another big step forward in the development of Gorgui Dieng. He scored 12 points, including the game-winner with 4.6 seconds to play, and grabbed 20 boards. Ten of those rebounds for Dieng came on the offensive side.

James Harden had 33 in the loss for Houston.

The Wolves (40-39) will play at Sacramento on Sunday.
