Rosario, Escobar encore: Duo leads Twins to one run victory over A's

Eddie Rosario and Eduardo Escobar did it again on Thursday. Both knocked in a pair of runs to lead the Twins to a 6-5 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

The Twins took three of four from Oakland to close out their 11-game homestand and have moved three games over .500 for the first time since 2010.

Ricky Nolasco (2-1) picked up his second victory of the season. It wasn't a quality start for Nolasco, who gave up four runs on six hits in five innings, but it was a win.

Twins closer Glen Perkins came on in the eighth to record the final out of the inning, then went back out in the ninth to shut the door and lock up the Twins victory.

Rosario and Escobar led the way at the plate, each were 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Kennys Vargas was 1-for-2 with a run scored as well.

Mike Pelfrey (2-0) is on the mound Friday night as the Twins start a road trip in Cleveland.
