The Minnesota Twins let an early lead slip away as they fell to the Chicago White Sox 6-4 to close their home stand on Thursday.

Trailing 1-0 in the top of the third inning, Twins rookie Eddie Rosario crushed a grand slam home run to turn the tables on the White Sox and give the Twins a 4-1 lead.

The White Sox started to chip back into the Twins lead with a run in the fourth and one more in the sixth off Twins starter Kyle Gibson to cut the lead to 4-3.

Gibson left after six innings, he allowed three runs on five hits, while striking out four. But the Twins bullpen wasn't able to hold it. Casey Fien gave up three runs in just a third of an inning, in the seventh and the White Sox took a 6-4 lead. He was tagged with the loss.

White Sox pinch hitter J.B. Schuck highlighted the seventh with a big two-run triple giving the White Sox the lead.

Jeff Samardzija survived Rosario's grand slam. He gave up four runs on five hits through 6 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Chicago's bullpen got around a Twins threat in the eighth inning, when Eduardo Nunez reached on a two-out single. Miguel Sano then came on to pinch hit for Byron Buxton, but White Sox reliever Nate Jones got him to pop out to shallow right.

Jones pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, setting up a save situation for David Robertson – his 28th of the season.

The Twins start another road trip in Houston on Friday. Mike Pelfrey (6-8) takes the mound for the Twins against Houston's Collin McHugh.
