If you have some free time and want to remember the 2009 NFC Championship game between the Vikings and Saints, read ex-Minnesota quarterback Sage Rosenfels' Monday Morning Quarterback.

Rosenfels, who was Brett Favre's backup in 2009, filled in for Sports Illustrated's Peter King and wrote the MMQB.

Here's a portion of his memory of the game the broke the hearts of so many Viking fans.

We never got the ball in overtime. There were about five plays that could have gone either way; two challenges and two pass interference calls that were questionable. As the Saints lined up for what was the game-winning field goal, I still felt confident we were going to win. But we didn’t.

Rosenfels went on to write that Favre said, "I choked." Favre and the Vikings were driving for what could have resulted in a last second, game-winning field goal attempt by Ryan Longwell, but Favre threw across his body and was picked off by Tracy Porter.

To this day, it's a tough play to watch, with Vikings play-by-play man Paul Allen exclaiming: "You've got to be kidding me. I can't believe what I just saw":

Moments later the Saints kicked the winning field goal and went on to beat the Colts in the Super Bowl.
