Rudolph's goal for 2015 season: Stay healthy

Kyle Rudolph's future will be clouded with doubters following another season with the Vikings plagued by injury.

A broken foot forced Rudolph out of eight games in 2013 and last season he missed seven games because of a sports hernia and a groin injury, Viking Update notes.

That's why Rudolph's main goal in 2015 is to play in all 16 games.

"It was a good offseason for me and that’s... if you’ve read anything that’s been written so far this offseason, it’s all about my health," Rudolph said Tuesday. "And that’s my biggest goal this offseason is becoming more durable. Being able to be there 16 times next year, that’s pretty much my main goal this offseason.”

Rudolph says he's focusing more on stretching to provide more flexibility and durability. He believes that the more he can bend, the less he'll break.

According to the Star Tribune, he's also ramping up his offseason workouts later than usual in an attempt to stay fresh during the season.

“I think this is the first time in my career I haven’t felt like I’ve come back in April in the best shape,” Rudolph said. I’m in great shape. I can go out there and run, but at the same time, I’m not peaking in the middle of April or in June when we’re out there running around in shorts."

In reality, it won't take much for Rudolph to outperform the 24 receptions, 231 yards and 2 touchdowns he finished with last season.
