Team Toews outlasted Team Foligno 17-12 in a record-setting 2015 NHL All-Star Game at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday.

The 29 total goals sets a new record for the highest number of scores in the 60-year history of the All-Star Game. The previous record was 26, which was set in 2001.

The Wild's Ryan Suter, who played for the winning team, contributed to the victory.

The game was tied 4-4 after the first period, when Suter scored a goal early in the second to give Team Toews a 5-4 lead, according to NHL.com.

Suter, the only Wild player in the All-Star game, shot the puck from the left circle at 24 seconds into the second period.

But the lead was short-lived, as Flyers captain Claude Giroux answered with his own goal eight seconds later to tie the game up again at 5-5.

Toews' team scored seven goals in the second period and six more in the third, while team Foligno scored four goals in each of the three periods.

Suter also had an assist on a goal by team captain Jonathan Toews late in the third period, according to 1500ESPN.com.

The All-Star Game has used different processes for selecting the All-Star teams over the years. This year the teams were selected by a player draft held Friday, according to 1500ESPN.com.
