Should Vikings draft best available player?

With the 23rd and 25th picks in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select ____________.

Fill in the blank. There are plenty of names the Vikings could choose to have the commissioner call, but nobody really knows which name it will be.

Vikings general manager Rick Spielman says his phone has been "ringing off the hook" with teams looking to trade. Spielman admitted it's more likely the Vikings trade down rather than up.

Spielman also said it's not out of the question that Erin Henderson could play middle linebacker next season. If he does, why would the Vikings take Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o in the first-round?

Tom Powers thinks the Vikings should simply fill in the blank with the best available player.

If Spielman is thinking at all about the 2014 season, he could consider drafting a defensive lineman in the first-round. Jared Allen, Brian Robison, Everson Griffen and Kevin Williams are all set to become free agents next spring.
