KISS bassist Gene Simmons -- who over the years has flashed his extended tongue at audiences during the rock band's concerts -- is going to put his vocal chords to work before the Vikings-Steelers game in London, KARE 11 reports.

Simmons is reportedly going to sing the national anthem before the game abroad Sept. 29, NFLUK.com says.

The game is set to begin at noon CT at Wembley Stadium in London. It will be the seventh NFL game played at the iconic stadium since the league began its NFL International Series.

The rock legend told the website, "I always love playing a role in these types of high-action, fast-paced games, not to mention returning to the UK and performing in front of some the best fans in the world!"

Simmons previously performed at the Oakland Raiders' home game against the San Diego Chargers last year.

Simmons and his longtime KISS bandmate, singer-guitarist Paul Stanley, recently announced that they're co-owners of the new Arena League Football football franchise, the LA KISS.

The team will begin play in LA in 2014. See Simmons announcement about the franchise below.
