Minnesota Timberwolves 102

New York Knicks 107

The Minnesota Timberwolves losing streak has reached four games, they fell to the New York Knicks 107-102 Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

1. Wolves have hit the skids

The losing streak has reached four for Minnesota. Their last victory came on Dec. 9 against the Lakers. Since then the Wolves have lost to the Nuggets twice, Phoenix and now New York.

During that stretch, the Wolves have been especially inconsistent on the offensive side. Minnesota trailed the Knicks by 22 midway through the third quarter before rallying to make the game interesting in the fourth.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Wolves with 25 points, Andrew Wiggins had 23.

2. Afflalo sparks the Knicks

Aaron Afflalo was all over the floor Wednesday night. He knocked down 3 three-pointers and scored a game-high 29 points.

Afflalo was efficient, he finished 9-of-14 from the floor, he was also 8-of-9 from the stripe tallying the 29 points.

3. Rubio misses the quadruple-double

Ricky Rubio flirted with the rare quadruple-double, but came up just short. Rubio finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and eight steals.

Tweet of the Night:

Wolves have a tough time with Kristaps Porzingis. He blocked six shots inside, then brought some authority on the offensive side.
