Oklahoma City Thunder 101

Minnesota Timberwolves 96

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost their seventh straight game Tuesday night, falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-96 at Target Center.

1. No controlling Westbrook

Russell Westbrook nearly had another triple-double. He finished with 22 points, 11 assists and 7 boards.

2. Late run not enough for Minnesota

The Wolves trailed by as many as 18 points Tuesday night, but fought their way back into the game with a 17-5 run in the fourth quarter.

But after cutting the Thunder lead to three a couple of times in the closing minutes, Minnesota wasn't able to get the stops they needed down the stretch.

A couple of late jumpers and some free throws from Kevin Durant helped to close it out for the Thunder. Durant finished with 30 points.

3. Shabazz coming on

If you have followed the Wolves during the miserable losing streak, you've undoubtedly noticed that Shabazz Muhammad continues to make plays.

Muhammad finished with 20 points off the bench on 8-of-15 shooting. He added 4 rebounds and 3 assists. With 21 from Zach LaVine, the Wolves bench put up big numbers and at one point in the fourth had outscored the starters.

Tweet of the Night:

Ricky Rubio drops a no-look dime to Muhammad, who knows how to finish it.
