Slow-staring Angels look for boost against Twins

It's never a good sign when a struggling team is happy to play your team.

That means the team that's struggling -- in this case, the Los Angeles Angels (4-8) -- thinks it can squash what it deems a lesser opponent, in this case, the Minnesota Twins (4-7).

L.A. visits Target Field tonight in the first of three in the frigid Warehouse District, where Sunday's finale against the New York Mets was called off because of snow, sleet and rain.

Kevin Correia, who has been surprisingly solid so far for the Twins, gets his third start of the year. The right-hander (0-1, 3.14 ERA), hasn't received much offensive support so far -- just one run in each of his two starts.

The Angels counter with Joe Blanton (0-2, 9.00), who has won his last two games against the Twins -- including a 6-1 win at Target Field last June when he was pitching for the Phillies.

Weather report: Low 40s and clouds at game time. The first pitch is at 7:10.
