It's not like Tom Brady is going to finish his Hall of Fame career with the Vikings, but let's be honest, Brady wouldn't be the GOAT without the love and care of his mother, who just so happened to grow up in Minnesota.
According to Heavy.com, Galynn Brady was born and raised in Browerville, which is about an hour northwest of St. Cloud.
Sports writer Troy Gunderson has the backstory on Brady's ties to Minnesota.
"Galynn Johnson, Gordon's daughter and Tom's mother, was born and raised in Browerville. She went on to work for Northwest Airlines and met Tom Brady Sr. They married and moved to San Mateo, Calif., had Tom Jr., and the rest is history. As a kid, Brady spent some time during the summer in Minnesota with Gordon and the rest of the family."
The Wadena Pioneer Journal profiled Brady's relationship to Minnesota in 2014, noting Brady went to the Todd County Fair in the mid-1980s.
Galynn has been sick and couldn't attend any of Tom's games until the Super Bowl, according to WBZ-TV in Boston. Needless to say, she was "overwhelmed" when her son led the greatest Super Bowl comeback in NFL history.
