Solo shots sink punchless Twins

Great day at the ballpark, but another dreary loss for the Twins. This time, starter Jason Marquis gave up three fifth-inning solo homers to the Indians en route to a 5-0 loss.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Jason Marquis (2-3) gave up three solo homers in the fifth inning as the Cleveland Indians blanked Minnesota, 5-0, Tuesday at Target Field.

Cleveland's Derek Lowe (6-1) earned the victory as he pitched a complete game shutout, giving up just six hits.

The Twins, who fell to 10-26 on the season, travel to Detroit for a two-game series Wednesday and Thursday.
