What was the real reason Percy Harvin went on the injured reserve list shortening his season?

Vikings general manager Rick Spielman says it was because Harvin was -- injured -- brushing aside questions it was over conduct.

Spielman also told reporters today the team has “no issues” with Harvin.

As for next year, Spielman says he’d like to bring back fullback Jerome Felton and wide receiver Jerome Simpson, saying Simpson can “thrive” in Minnesota.

He also said contract extension talks with coach Leslie Frazier will start soon.

The Vikings also named its 2012 MVPs this afternoon. As KFAN's A.J. Mansour explains, it wasn't difficult to pick out the winners on offense (Peterson), defense (Greenay) and special teams (Walsh).
