Sports, media worlds pay tribute to the late Sid Hartman

The Star Tribune legend died on Saturday at age 100.

If you grew up a Minnesota sports fan, there's a chance that you read an article written by Sid Hartman. As one of the most recognizable characters in the Twin Cities media, Hartman's career spanned 75 years and became a staple at the Star Tribune.

As news of Hartman's death broke on Sunday afternoon, many fellow media members, both locally and nationally, took to social media to share their memories and pay their respects.

Even the Vikings took their opportunity to tribute Hartman after their game with Atlanta, posting Hartman's picture on the scoreboards at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Hartman was 100 years old.
