St. Cloud State scored late to force overtime, then beat Michigan Tech 3-2 in o-t to advance to the second round of the NCAA Men's hockey tournament.

Judd Peterson scored the game winner in overtime for the Huskies. It was the Duluth native's fourth goal of the season.

St. Cloud needed some late heroics to pull out the come-from-behind victory.

Trailing 2-1 with less than a minute to play the Huskies tied the game up Jonny Brodzinski's goal at the 19:22 mark of the third. It was Brodzinski's 21st of the year.

St. Cloud State goaltender Charlie Lindgren stopped 31-of-33 shots in the game.

The Huskies advance to the regional championship game on Saturday where they will face the winner of Quinnipiac or North Dakota at 8 p.m.
