If you thought a pandemic would stop the Saints' promotions, you're sadly mistaken.

Nopening Day

As the St. Paul Saints season has been pushed back until July due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team still decided to hold a celebration to mark what would have been their opening game at CHS Field on Tuesday.

Dubbed "Nopening Day," the celebration kicked off outside CHS Field as the team gave away 500 "Nopening Day" t-shirts.

The Saints also showed a replay of their inaugural game at CHS Field from 2015 with "ushertainers" getting involved in the broadcast between innings, featuring tributes to the pandemic's frontline workers.

The night was capped off with a fireworks display befitting of a night at the ballpark.

While "Nopening Day" was a success for the Saints, the chances are this is one promotion that they hope won't be running again anytime soon.
