St. Cloud Cathedral completed another undefeated season in Class 2A Monday afternoon as they captured their second straight 2A crown with a 10-1 state championship victory over Minnehaha Academy.

Minnesota Baseball Hub has the full recap, but it was the Crusaders 50th straight victory and Cathedral coach Bob Karnes' 736 career victory – most in state history.

On Monday, the bottom two hitters in the Crusaders lineup Jacob Gross and Bryan Bohlig combined for five hits and six RBIs.

Class A: New Life Academy wins title in walk-off fashion

Brad Goulet delivered a walk-off single on Monday at Target Field to lift the New Life Academy Eagles to a 6-5 eight-inning victory over Springfield.

The Pioneer Press notes that Goulet wasn't part of the Eagles first championship run last spring, so he could try out for an AAU summer basketball team.

But he returned and delivered the single lifting the Eagles to their second straight state title.

Class 3A: Chanhassen claims first ever title

Chanhassen's Ty Denzer hit a two-run single in the top of the third inning leading the Storm to their first Class 3A state championship by defeating Lakeville North 2-0.

It was all the offense the Storm would need as Jack Schnettler held Lakeville to four hits and kept them off the scoreboard.
