State record or fish tale? Bemidji man's record walleye comes under scrutiny.
Don Mickel of Bemidji and his fishing partner were drifting and vertical jigging a Fireball jig on 5-pound test line in 12 feet of water last month when Mickel hooked into and eventually landed a huge walleye. His measurements put it at 19.8 pounds, the largest in state history. He's received both pats on the back and curious looks.
