It didn't cost fans anything to stream "Thursday Night Football" games on Twitter last season, but it's going take a bite out of your bank account to stream games next season.

Amazon has won the rights to stream Thursday games with a $50 million bid, according to The Wall Street Journal. It's a one-year deal with the NFL, which said goodbye to Twitter after the social media giant won the rights to stream Thursday football in 2016 with a $10 million bid.

While Twitter was free, users will now have to subscribe to Amazon Prime to stream the games, The WSJ reports. An Amazon Prime subscription can be purchased with an annual fee of $99 or $10.99 a month.

Vikings games on Thursday night, if they have any, will still be available via a local channel.

Amazon's deal is for 10 Thursday night games. All of them will still be simulcast on NFL Network and CBS or NBC.

Facebook also outbid Twitter this year, according to ESPN.
