Sydney Moss, the daughter of former NFL player Randy Moss, scored 63 points for Thomas More College Friday night, setting a new NCAA Division III record for single-game scoring, ESPN reports.

Thomas More, in Crestview Hills, Ky., defeated Waynesburg (Pa.) University 106-88 in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament.

The previous single-game record in Division III women's basketball was 61 points, scored by Ann Gilbert of Oberlin College in 1991. Moss broke the record when she made two free throws with 18 seconds left in the game.

On Saturday, the Saints defeated Washington & Jefferson College in the tournament final, 80-58, and finished as PAC champions for the eighth straight year. In Saturday's game, Moss scored 29 points.

Moss, a 5-foot-11 sophomore guard, is a former Kentucky prep basketball star. She averaged 22.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game in her junior year at Boone County High School, according to ESPN.

She went to the University of Florida and played as a freshman before transferring to Thomas More in Crestview Hills, a suburb southwest of Cincinnati.

Randy Moss was an All-Pro wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings from 1998-2004. He played for the New England Patriots and had short stints with the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers during his NFL career, which ended in 2012.

Cindy Brown holds the Division I record with 60 points for Long Beach State against San Jose State on Feb. 16, 1987.
