Target Field will have peanut butter bacon sandwich this Twins season

Peanut butter is a nice, protein-filled spread. Bacon has protein, too, so the new peanut butter-bacon sandwich available to fans at Target Field this baseball season is probably the perfect snack to stay in shape, right? 

We might be stretching reality with that, but the calorie-laden goodness in the picture above is something many of us will need in our mouths as soon as the gates to Twins games open March 28. 

According to Delaware North GM Pete Spike, this masterpiece has strawberry jelly candied bacon (!) and peanut butter between slices of grilled sourdough bread. 

Enough said. Where do I find it?

We don't know how much it costs yet but who cares we're all going to buy it. 

All additional new foods and beverages at Target Field will be unveiled Mar. 26 and I'll be sure to bring my bib.
