After impressing in his first pre-season start last week, Teddy Bridgewater is winning more fans after another clinical performance for the New York Jets against Washington on Thursday.
There was talk of Bridgewater being cut ahead of the new season, with the Jets having drafted rookie Sam Darnold and keeping Josh McCown in reserve.
But if that's what happens, Bridgewater is certainly putting himself in the shop window as a genuine starting prospect for any other team looking for options at quarterback.
He looked masterful on Thursday, showing no signs of being limited by his devastating knee injury as he dodged and took hits, and dropped some dimes to his receivers, including this bad boy into the endzone.
Through two preseason games, Teddy has completely 17 of 23 passes passes for 212 yards, two TDs, one interception and a 113.0 passer rating.
NFL Network analyst Charley Casserly said that Teddy may end up being improved on the player he was when he won Rookie of the Year with the Vikings in 2014.
And the feeling among some fans is that he deserves a shot to start with the Jets, either that or another team.
