Update 2 p.m. It's official, the Vikings will have Teddy Bridgewater back on the field for his first full practice with the team on Wednesday. Minnesota now has 21 days to either put him back on the physically unable to perform list or activate him to the 53-man roster.

Update 10 a.m. Teddy Bridgewater had a crucial meeting with his surgeon on Monday, and the indications are he got the news he wanted.

The Vikings QB has been cleared to practice by Dr. Dan Cooper, who performed the surgery on his dislocated knee, according to ESPN's Chris Mortenson.

It's not been officially confirmed yet by the Vikings, who are expected to reveal more at Mike Zimmer's 2 p.m. press conference.

If confirmed and the Vikings take Bridgewater off of the PUP list (physically unable to perform), the team has 21 days to either activate him for good or put him back on the PUP list.

Earlier Monday morning, Bridgewater tweeted "Thank you," suggesting things had gone well with his evaluation.

It appears that Case Keenum has grabbed hold of the Vikings starting quarterback job, but the guy taking reps as the No. 2 quarterback this week could be Teddy Bridgewater.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Bridgewater was expected to pass a physical Monday morning, thus clearing him to practice fully with the Vikings for the first time since he blew out his knee more than a year ago.

At 8:21 a.m. Monday, Bridgewater sent out a tweet saying nothing more than "Thank you."

"He's had no setbacks, he's done incredibly well," Rapoport said Sunday. "The Vikings love where he is and there's a real possibility we see Bridgewater on the field in 2017."

More on Bridgewater's recovery from Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune

"He’s been doing extensive rehab work in recent weeks, and has looked impressive in brief glimpses of his throwing sessions, flashing overhauled mechanics that have the quarterback driving off a flexed back leg and putting less stress on his surgically-repaired front leg."

We'll likely learn more about Bridgewater during head coach Mike Zimmer's press conference at 2 p.m. Monday.

Regardless, Bridgewater's six weeks on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list are up, so the Vikings have 21 days to either put him back on the PUP list for the remainder of the season or activate him for good.
