Timberwolves forward Thaddeus Young returned to practice Monday after clearing the concussion tests following a collision with Chicago's Jimmy Butler on Saturday night.

During the first half of Minnesota's 106-105 loss to the Bulls, Young caught an inadvertent elbow from Butler while battling for a rebound.

Young was down on the floor for more than 10 minutes and didn't return to the game after the hit.

"I don't even want to talk about that play," Young told reporters after practice on Monday. "I want to put it behind me and focus on the next game and the long road trip we have coming up."

Young has been averaging 17.7 points a game through the Wolves first three games of the season. The Wolves acquired the power forward from Philadelphia this summer in the three-team trade that sent Kevin Love to Cleveland.

The Star Tribune reports Young cleared the concussion tests on Sunday and returned to practice Monday. Wolves coach Flip Saunders told the newspaper Young's back was a bit sore, but that was all.

According to The Associated Press, Young said he feels fortunate that he wasn't more seriously hurt. He expects to be ready when the Wolves play in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.
