St. Cloud: The best D2 baseball team in the country is SCSU

If you blinked this spring you might have missed one of the 51 victories or three losses the St. Cloud State baseball team has piled up. Seriously, SCSU is 51-3 and ranked No. 1 in the country. The Huskies are hosting the NCAA Division II Central Region tournament at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud and open play Thursday against six-seed Henderson State.

St. Cloud: Johnnies are hot entering NCAA Tournament

La Crosse, Wisconsin, is the site of today's NCAA Tournament first-round game for the St. John's Johnnies. The Johnnies, who haven't won an NCAA Tournament game since 1994, play Coe College from Iowa at 10 a.m. St. John's had to win four straight and beat St. Thomas twice on Sunday to win the MIAC tournament just to get into the big dance.

Mankato: Minnesota State women's hockey has a new head coach

John Harrington is his name and coaching Mavericks women's hockey is his new game. Harrington spent the last four years as a scout for the Colorado Avalanche. Prior to that he coached men's hockey at St. John's, Denver and St. Cloud State.
