St. Cloud: Former Johnnie WR on HOF ballot
For a third consecutive year a former St. John's star wide receiver is on the ballot to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Blake Elliott was a 3-time All-American wide receiver under legendary coach John Gagliardi. The Johnnies were a national power with Elliott from 2000-2003, including winning the Division III national championship in 2003.

Mahnomen: Brothers trying to make golf history
Mahnomen-Waubun High School doesn't have a team title or individual boys golf state championship in its history, but that could change thanks to Blake and Nathaniel Kahlbaugh. Blake is three shots off the lead in the 1A tournament, just one shot ahead of Nathaniel. As a team, Mahnomen-Waubun sits in second place, just two strokes behind Mounds Park Academy. Dilworth: Prep pitcher intimidates all the way to State
Tyler Madson, a senior pitcher, has Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton High School in the state baseball tournament for the first time in school history. No, he hasn't done it by himself, but he leads the team in hitting and has been an intimidating presence on the mound. Madson is 8-1 and has 81 strikeouts in just over 60 innings this season. The Rebels open 2A tournament play against Rochester Lourdes.
